There are two main trails in the Clare valley, the Riesling trail which most would know and the newly established Rattler Trail. They are both beautiful trails and have their own personal characteristics just waiting to be explored!
The Riesling trail is one of the most beautiful and most famous trails in Australia. Show casing
the best of the Clare Valley, it alone is worth the trip to the Clare Valley to ride.
The riesling trail is steeped in history and is surrounded by vineyards, historic towns and some of the
most beautiful views. The trail starts at Auburn and goes through Watervale, Penwortham, Sevenhill and
ends in Clare.
Be sure to do yourself a favor and ride the trail when you travel the Clare valley it is one choice that
will be well made.

The Rattler trail was officially opened in August of 2007. The surface primarily of gravel making it
suitable for cyclists and walkers alike.
The Rattler trail is also steeped in history, it is a former railway line between Auburn and Riverton
and is approximately 19km long.
The Rattler Rail trail starts at the Auburn Railway Station and heads south ending in the town
of Riverton. The Rattler Rail Trail links with the Riesling and Riverton Trails and loops with the Mawson Trail.
A scenic trail to travel. Make sure you discover the Rattler Trail while you are in the Valley.
